Na “Lina” Li, Ph.D., is a Professor and Dean of Graduate Business Programs at Baker College, and a newly appointed Commissioner for the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). With over four years of experience as an IACBE site visit team chair and member, Dr. Li is a champion for academic program assessment, curriculum design, and global education. She holds a Ph.D. from Syracuse University and degrees from Peking University, and her widely published research focuses on human-computer interaction and information systems.

Baker College does not require either the GMAT or GRE as a condition of admission. However, you may submit your scores if you want them considered in the admissions decision.

While Baker Online courses begin and end on set dates and assignments do have deadlines, these flexible programs were developed to fit into your schedule, not the other way around.
The main difference between these two ways to learn is that Baker Online courses have a flexible schedule and are offered in eight-week semesters, while Online Live classes are held in real time in a virtual classroom and meet at set times over 8- or 16-week semesters.

No, you don’t have to commit to the Baker Online format exclusively. In fact, we encourage you to mix and match different course types to fit your schedule and learning preferences.
Yes. All courses offered at Baker College, whether on campus, Baker Online or Online Live, are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
To apply for all forms of federal and state aid (including grants, scholarships, and loans), you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. Additional help is available on our financial aid page.

While you can apply throughout the year, Baker College recommends completing your FAFSA by the May 1st priority deadline. All financial aid paperwork should be completed by the Financial Aid Priority Date which is typically one month before the start of the semester.
Yes. You must submit a new FAFSA for each academic year you plan to be enrolled. The application typically opens annually on October 1st.

Our tuition rates are established based on your academic program, which allows you to more easily calculate your cost. In addition to tuition, students are charged a technology fee. Our Culinary Institute of Michigan and Nursing programs have a few courses with additional fees. Details of charges are available on our tuition page.
The BeFree Tuition Guarantee is available to qualified new undergraduate students who are eligible for the maximum Pell Grant. This program can cover standard tuition costs for up to five years for those who qualify.
Yes. We offer flexible payment plans to help you spread the cost of tuition over the semester. There is a $35 non-refundable enrollment fee, but joining a plan early helps you avoid the $50 late payment fee. You can sign up through your student portal at my.baker.edu.
