Frequently Asked Questions

Baker College will accept up to 90 credits earned at any regionally-accredited college or university toward a bachelor’s degree and up to 45 toward an associate degree. The exact number of transfer credits accepted may vary depending on your specific transfer circumstances.

Yes! Your experience matters, and we’ll work with you to make sure that none of it goes to waste. At Baker College, students from diverse backgrounds can qualify for college credit for prior learning. Transfer students are reviewed individually. In most cases, a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required for admission, especially for graduates of Michigan community colleges. Additional requirements may apply based on your program of interest.

Yes! Transfer students are welcome and encouraged to apply for professional healthcare programs at Baker College, such as Nursing (including an Accelerated option), Surgical Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), and Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). In addition to meeting the institution’s admission requirements, students must also fulfill the specific program admission criteria and complete a supplemental program form. Please contact an enrollment specialist for more information regarding program availability and requirements.
